Contacting Our Angels and Guides

Question: How do we contact our Angels and Guides?

Marlana: Angels and Guides are as close to us as our own imagination. If you are willing to "pretend" you are talking to your Angels, then you can! We use our imagination as a vehicle to carry our intentions, so to us, it feels like we are just "pretending" or making things up. It feels that way because we associate using our imagination with making things up. However, in the other dimensions, what we intend is easier to "wish" into reality, than it is in our dimension.

Before we go any further lets talk about the difference between Angels and Guides, in the way I'm talking about them in this context.  Angels are beings of Light who have never lived in human form.  Spirit Guides have lived in human form at least once.  If you want spiritual help, talk to your Angels, if you want more practical life help, then talk with your Spirit Guides. 

Begin your communication session by holding the intention that only beings of the same or higher vibration than your own are welcome to meet with you.  You may want to ask Archangel Michael to act as your guardian while you're working.

To encourage interdimensional connections, I have found that candles, incense and flower essences, especially my Inspired Blends: Awakening Intuition, can be a big help.  If you are concerned about inadvertently inviting negative energies into your field, then you may want to try another Inspired Blend: Protection and Cleansing.

The next step is to create a space where you won't be interrupted for a half hour or so.  You may enjoy total silence, or some very quiet music in the background.  Now, in this sacred space you've created, simply ask, out loud, in your mind, or in wriiting, whatever makes sense to you, to speak to either an Angel or a Guide.  I suggest asking for only one at a time, so you don't get confused.

Imagine how you will feel if you WERE able to talk to your Angels, and then act as if it is possible.  This "as if" technique allows your mind to relax because then it doesn't need to fight so hard, to be sure you don't trick yourself.

If you like to write, or you type without looking at the keys, then ask your Angels and Guides to "dictate" to you, and you write what you hear.  If you enjoy drawing, ask them to give you pictures to draw to help you understand their messages more clearly.  Be creative, open and courageous.  There is no need to beg or plead with them, they can hear you just fine.  Many times when we think our Angel isn't hearing our requests, it is often because we are so busy pleading and telling Him/Her what we want that we aren't listening to the answer. 

Let's say you have just spent the last few minutes trying these suggestions, how will you know if you really talked with your Angel or Guide?  If you feel better, uplifted and positive after "pretending" to hear your Angel's or Guide's message, then you know you have met with them. If you feel depressed, tired, or irritable, then you may have met with less than loving energies. No problem! Just "pretend" that you are God/Goddess and the "evil", bad guys, have no business being in your space.  Remember to stake your claim on your own space; No beings allowed who have slower vibrations than you do. 

Let go of worrying about whether you're making things up, you'll never actually get a solid answer anyway, whatever that is.  So, just focus on how you feel after listening and spending time with your celestial friends.  The more you practice, the easier it gets. 

Using your imagination as in interdimensional vehicle is sort of like walking on a path.  At first the path may be barely visible, but the more you walk on it, the clearer it gets, and the easier it is to walk on it.  Soon, there is no doubt where the path is going.

Some people think that we only get a certain number of Angels to be with us, I disagree.  In my experience, there are no limits to the number of Angels and Guides we have around us, only limits to our own imagination. 

One more thing, Angels and Guides are very polite and will not intrude in our lives unless we specifically ask for their help.  Once we ask, they are thrilled to be of service. So, let them know what you want, then set them free to make it happen.

So, relax, enjoy your experiences, and suspend doubts and fears for those few minutes you are making your connections with beautiful Light Beings.  Remember that when you ask to connect with them, you can ask to only connect with beings of your own vibration or higher, and that's the way it will be.  It's easier than you think, it's more subtle than you may be expecting.  Allow your experience to be easy and light.
