When We Are Ready, Love Will Meet Us There
|
|
A friend of Forrist's, we'll call him James, asked me if I thought my work would help him find a life partner. I gave him my usual answer, "I don't know, let's give a try and see how it goes." So, we set up a telephone session.
During that session he told me that he had never had a life partner and the reason was because he didn't think it was possible to have a commitment to a life partner and a commitment to his life's career passion at the same time. I could understand this, in his situation, since he works in a global television setting requiring him to stay connected with fairly high ranking officials all over the world.
So we dug right in and cleared beliefs around commitment, relationships and having conflicts and overwhelm trying to balance two primary and sometimes demanding areas of life. He worked deep and honest. We ended our session by creating a beautiful beacon to draw to him his ideal woman.
Within just a few months James met her at a trade show where she had a booth. They hit it off and within a few more months they were crazy in love and planning to be married. The three of us have had a few sessions over these last couple of years to help ease their adjustment to each other. Together we sorted out various forks in the road; where to live, what jobs to nurture and which ones to release and so on. Now they are sharing their life and joy with a brand new baby boy!
